Cheap Apartment Venice Castello for 4 People

Yet again we had a wonderful time in Venice and we were very lucky with the weather.
Last time we came we rented the apartment at the top of Palazzo Bragora which was wonderful and set a high level of expectation. Apartment no 47 was cheaper so we didn’t expect to repeat that experience. Susanna was very welcoming although due to a problem with her maid the apartment wasn’t ready when we arrived. She also allowed a late check out which was very welcome.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable but it is looking tired. For example the bed sheets and pillowslips were all clean but very old and thin. Improving the lighting would help a lot ( even just ensuring all the light bulbs were working) as we found it quite dark ..particularly in the kitchen where we like to cook.
The location was very convenient for immediate shops and The Rialto market so we could live like Venetians for a week.

On an administrative point of view the phone number you provided was actually Susanna’s husbands who didn’t seem to know anything about the booking when I rang to say we had arrived and advise what time we would be there.

Rental by telephone was easy, the documents sent were clear with the exception of two or three important lines concerning the appointment in ...Italian.

We were finally able to communicate in English with Manuela, who referred us to Vanni, in French.

Spacious apartment for 4 people with a lovely terrace overlooking the Venetian rooftops. Situated in a strategic position, quiet area but close to the centre. Nearby restaurants, bars, greengrocers, bakers.... Precise contacts with the agency, immediate response, clear explanations

We struggled a bit to find it, but then Michela came to our aid and took us to our apartment. Excellent value for money, given the prices in Venice at that time. The apartment corresponds to the photos, very nice and clean. The lady very helpful.

Nice apartment, well located, there may be a floor lamp in the living room (weaker than the ceiling light). We were a little disturbed by the neighbors upstairs yelling at their baby a lot!
